Customers also routinely mention that their
operators are so much more efficient at their
jobs, whether it be inspectors, soldering
technicians, repair technicians, SMT operators
etc. after the training. My greatest feedback
is when customers book more training after
their first class because their training was so
beneficial. We recently had a small customer
who booked our SMT Boot Camp training and
after that class, they said it was so beneficial
that they wanted to book the IPC J standard
class. Then after that, they booked another IPC
class and kept going until they had completed
all 5 IPC trainings. The owner was thrilled with
the results and said that it had transformed
their company.”
How important is soldering
fume extraction during the
training sessions?
“Ironically that has recently become a significant
need. Maybe because of COVID, people are
more concerned about the air they breath and
not ingesting bad things, which there are plenty
of them in flux. Weller’s new ZeroSmog Shield
Pro is a game changer for us because it’s small,
powerful and affordable. Previously we had to
either use the more expensive and larger fume
extraction systems or cheap “fans with a filter”
that didn’t work well.”
Why should every ambitious
hand soldering professional
use Weller Tools?
“We have worked with all brands of soldering
equipment over the years and all work but the
Weller tools have served us best. Our equipment
doesn’t have any easy life. They get shipped
all over, dropped out of trucks etc. but they just
keep working. Combine that with the fact that
they have multiple handpieces for all soldering
and rework applications, multiple power
supplies with the features we need and every
tip geometry we could ever want. Weller Tools
have been great for our demanding applications.

Our collaboration with Weller is a great
partnership. Weller believes in the importance of
quality training and believe their best customer
is a well-trained soldering technician. We train
approximately 1,600 people per year and they
all get exposure to the quality and breadth of
products Weller has to offer.”
“Aside from the quality, I really appreciate the
technical support and service department of
Weller Tools. Whenever we do have a problem,
they are always there to fix it quickly“.
“Thank you so much for your endless patience,
guidance and advocacy. Being new to Workmanship,
government, IPC, and NASA standards, I found
myself without the robust information needed to
easily and responsibly deliver World-Class
Workmanship training here. Your ever-present
assistance and partnership was key to do that.”

What are your future targets
with for the
IPC TrainingCenter?
“We plan to continue to grow organically
through opening new training centers in strategic
locations and adding another trainer when we
find the right candidate. We have been growing
steadily for many years but we want to maintain
the same level of quality that has made us the
premier training organization in the US.”
