“We want to inspire more young people to get
into soldering and show them that Weller is an
innovative, exciting brand.”
Angelika Partak
Associate Social Media
Manager, Weller Tools
The Future Originals vision comes to life
through the people who make it happen
every day. At Weller, a new generation
of talent is stepping up – creative minds,
skilled hands, and bold thinkers who
share one goal: making soldering exciting, relevant, and inspiring for the next
wave of makers. They bring together
expertise from product management,
marketing, design, engineering, and
social media, combining their strengths
to create something truly fresh.
These young professionals don’t just
work for Weller – they live the spirit of
innovation that drives the brand forward. They experiment, collaborate,
and challenge each other to push
boundaries, whether they’re shaping
content, building experiences, or representing Weller at events worldwide.
Meet the Future Originals team – the
faces, stories, and passions behind the
movement redefining the future of
soldering.
/// Angelika, what do you find most
exciting about being part of the Future
Originals team?
The most exciting part of this initiative
is definitely working with a young, international team and seeing how our ideas
actually turn into reality. There’s so much
creative freedom – we’re encouraged
to think differently, without having to
worry about typical constraints. That
freedom allows me to grow in areas
outside my usual comfort zone, which
makes the experience even more
rewarding.
/// What do the Future Originals mean
to you personally in your role as Social
Media Manager at Weller Tools?
For me, the group is an incredible source
of input and inspiration. Their ideas help
me create engaging, authentic content
that really speaks to our audience. The
collaboration improves the quality of
our overall brand presence on social
media and elevates the performance of
our content – it takes everything to the
next level.
/// Speaking of influencers – you’ve
recently started collaborating with
Ilke.iam. How did that come about?
I actually discovered Ilke.iam on TikTok
and instantly felt he was a perfect fit for
Weller. He repairs electronic devices
for his community, and soldering plays
a central role in his work. He really
embodies our values, and beyond
that, we’ve developed a great personal
connection as well. Our collaboration is
straightforward: Ilke creates videos in
which he shows how he uses our soldering stations or casually mentions Weller
during his repair sessions. And we’re
just getting started – there are many
exciting plans ahead, so stay tuned!
/// Looking back, what has been your
favorite moment from the Future
Originals initiative so far?
What I love most is seeing how our ideas
come to life and realizing the real
impact we have on company-wide
processes. One of my favorite moments
was the Girls’ and Boys’ Day at our
headquarters in Besigheim. The energy
from the kids was just amazing – it
really confirmed that we’re on the right
path. Another big highlight was the
Maker Faire, where we unveiled our new
booth design and were able to interact
directly with our audience.
/// Where can people find and connect
with the Future Originals?
We’re very active on social media –
especially on LinkedIn and Instagram
(@wellertools). You can always reach out
via DM. But even better: come meet us
in person! At events like productronica
in Munich, we’ll be there with plenty of
exciting activities: live repair sessions
with Ilke Fundaoglu, expert talks on
soldering innovations and challenges.
