In 2025, we celebrate 80 years of Weller. It all began in 1945, when Carl E. Weller
founded the Weller Manufacturing Company and laid the foundation for what
would become a global leader in professional hand soldering. Since then,
Weller has pioneered countless innovations – always adapting to the increasing
complexity of our customers’ needs.
Today, we continue this journey with the same spirit. We empower people in
industries from aerospace to electronics – through smart soldering platforms,
our newly structured product portfolio (such as the WE EfficiencyLine,
WT PerformanceLine, WX TechnologyLine, and WXsmart) and our strong
commitment to sustainability and precision.
A further highlight of this evolution is our Future Originals initiative. Driven by a
young, international team, it brings fresh energy to our world – connecting with
students, makers, and young professionals through content, events, and real
hands-on experiences, such as the Maker Faire. It’s a bold step to inspire the
next generation of soldering enthusiasts.
In this second edition of #SOLDERJoint, you’ll also discover exciting application
stories from around the world, an impressive deep dive into today’s and tomorrow’s space industry, and the voices of our diverse Weller community – from the
next generation to seasoned experts, including the women shaping the future
through Women@Weller. And we’re just getting started.
