struggled to find something meaningful to do – until
he discovered repair. His father called me in tears,
saying, “You’ve achieved something for my son that I
couldn’t.” That moment still moves me deeply. It
showed me that what I do can truly change lives, not
just devices.
You have been a partner of Weller for some time. What
convinced you about the brand right away?
Honestly, I grew up with Weller. I did my first soldering
on a Weller station at school. That same old station is
still in my parents’ basement, still working perfectly
after decades. For me, that proved Weller’s quality. I’m
someone who prefers to buy once and use it for years,
instead of buying five times cheap. Weller stands for
durability – and that’s exactly what I believe in.
What role does professional equipment play in your
projects – and how does Weller make a difference for
you?
You are active on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
What excites you about these formats?
For me, it’s about sharing knowledge. That’s why I
started in the first place. It was never about fame or
attention – it was about giving something back, just
like my teacher once did for me. Social media is the
place where I can show people how to repair, step
by step. If it’s not taught in schools anymore, I can at
least make sure it doesn’t die out.
What motivates you to share your knowledge on
social media?
The motivation is simple: if I don’t show people, who
will? Knowledge has to be passed on, otherwise it
disappears. Every tutorial, every video is my way of
making sure that repair skills continue into the next
generation.
Which of your YouTube videos are especially important to you – and why?
The one about circuit diagrams. In the scene, these
are often treated like secrets. When I explained how
to get them, it was like opening Pandora’s box. Some
people were angry, saying I gave away too much, but
for me it was important. I had struggled for years
myself trying to find circuit diagrams. If I could save
others from that frustration, it would be worth.
What was the most touching feedback you’ve ever
received from a follower?
A father once contacted me about his son, who
had been in a wheelchair after an accident. The boy
A huge role. In the beginning, I used cheap stations,
and the tips wore out after just one or two uses. It was
frustrating. Then I went back to my father’s old Weller
station, and it worked better than anything new I had.
That was the moment I realized: I need professional
gear. Weller makes the difference because it works reliably, day after day. With good equipment, you can
focus on the repair, not on the tools.
Which Weller tool is indispensable for you – and why?
Definitely my WT series station. I like working with
multiple irons and tips at the same time. I don’t want to
constantly swap tips, even if it’s fast. With the WT, I can
run two irons in parallel and switch between different
tips instantly. It’s flexible, powerful, and fits my workflow
perfectly. For me, it’s a real game changer – one station
that can do everything, instead of cluttering the bench
with ten different devices.
If you could send one message to your community in
a single sentence – what would it be?
Learn soldering. It’s that simple. Soldering is a fundamental skill for repair, for sustainability, and for
independence. Without it, we lose not just knowledge,
but a whole culture of making and fixing.
