Nelley Guadalupe Perez Pech
Assembly Operator, Weller Tools, Querétaro, Mexico
Started at Apex Tool Group: July 2023
“This isn’t my first time at Apex Tool Group – but
I chose to return because I truly value the work
environment, the respectful way we’re treated by
supervisors, and the schedule that helps me balance
personal and professional life. That balance is very
important to me, and I’ve found it here.
Since rejoining the team, I’ve focused entirely on
Weller production. That has helped me deepen my
technical skills and gain a strong understanding of the
processes. My willingness to learn and the technical
training I’ve received have played a big part in my
development.

Sales Executive Weller Tools in New South Wales,
Australia
Started at Apex Tool Group: October 2023
“When I joined Apex Tool Group, I was handed responsibility for some key Weller customers and had to get
up to speed quickly. The more I learned, the more I
realised how respected the Weller brand is – this
really motivated me to dive in, understand the
products, and support my customers as best I could.
A highlight so far has been helping introduce new
Weller products into one of my major accounts.
That was a proud moment and a big step forward
in our local market. I’ve also learned a lot through
working closely with other departments – product,
marketing, logistics, customer service – gaining a
better understanding of the bigger picture.
It’s fascinating to see how differently Weller tools are
used across industries. Each customer has unique
needs, and I enjoy helping them find the right solution.
Being in a male-dominated field meant I had to prove
myself early on – but once people saw I knew my stuff,
it wasn’t an issue. Consistency, confidence, and staying true to yourself really make the difference.
Working with my hands is essential to what I do. They
are my most important tools – allowing me to operate
equipment and apply technologies with precision. I’ve
learned to make adjustments and solve problems
independently. Every mistake has been a chance to
grow, and I’ve become stronger and more self-reliant
because of it.
What I value most about Weller is the commitment to
equity and care. Everyone has the same opportunities,
and there’s real attention to women’s needs – especially around maternity, which means a lot to me.
I’m proud that people recognize my knowledge and
trust me. My supervisor plays a key role, he believes in
my potential, gives me opportunities, and supports
my growth. Looking ahead, I plan to go back to school
and continue expanding my skills. My goal is to take
on a more advanced role in the future.
To other young women considering this career: never
stop learning. This industry has so much to offer,
professionally and personally, and every step brings
a lesson worth learning.”
At Weller, everyone is treated equally. It’s about doing
a good job and being part of the team– no ego, no
barriers. That kind of environment makes it easier to
grow. I’m excited about helping launch more products
and being part of Weller’s journey in Australia. To
young women considering a technical career: just go
for it. You absolutely belong here.”
