Shaping
the next
Generation
of Space
Engineers
Örs Hunor Detre contributed for 15 years as
European Electrical Lead for the MIRI instrument
on the James Webb Space Telescope – a joint
project of NASA, ESA, and the Canadian Space
Agency.
Today, he is dedicated to sharing his knowledge
with the next generation through the CanSatLab, an educational initiative in Hungary
that inspires young minds to explore science,
engineering, and space technology.
“I realized how critical soldering is when a
barely visible bad joint caused false data
in a ground test of the space telescope. In
space, there’s no second chance – every
connection must be flawless. Soldering is
mission-critical.”
